Aston Merrygold - former member of British boy-band sensation JLS - has reignited his solo career, with the release of his brand new single, titled 'Overboard.'
'Overboard' inevitably marks a brand new exciting chapter for Aston Merrygold and showcases his multitude of talents. What truly makes this track memorable is that it has a relatively chilled-out and relaxed vibe and is not limited to one specific genre. It blends together throwback R&B, direct pop and samples an underground UK hip-hop sound, with his vocals ultimately remaining at the forefront of this track.
Speaking about his new single, which was co-written with Andrei Mihai, Lil Eddie and Alvin Anthony and produced by SHOEBA, Aston Merrygold explained:
"I'm very excited to be releasing 'Overboard.' It's great to have been back in the studio, working on new music, and there's more to come as well! I can't wait to see you all soon, when it's safe to do so."

Aston Merrygold has previously been involved in a range of high-profile projects, including competing on 'Strictly Come Dancing,' starring in the West End production of 'Rip It Up' and appearing as a judge on talent show 'Got To Dance,' along with releasing an array of singles, including 'Get Stupid' and 'One Night In Paris.'
The release of 'Overboard' kicks off the beginning of what is set to be a busy year for Aston Merrygold. He has taken part in the most recent series of 'The Masked Singer' and is set to hit the road with JLS - also made up of members JB Gill, Marvin Humes and Oritsé Williams - throughout June and July 2021, following their decision to disband at the end of 2013. The twenty-eight date reunion tour will see them performing in arenas around the UK and Ireland, including three nights at London's O2 Arena.
