Talented up and coming artist Ben Dolic just released his latest single, 'Kissing Her, Missing You', his third release since his debut in 2020.
With strong guitar and drum elements combined with feel-good production which could be compared to global hit, 'Mood' by 24kGoldn, 'Kissing Her, Missing You' is an upbeat pop anthem about dating an amazing person, but feeling guilty because you miss your ex. The track has been backed by teams who have worked with award-winning artists, with the vocals recorded in Ben's bedroom and then worked on in four different countries whilst he travelled for press.
The track is produced and co-wrote by Gethin Llwyd who has worked with the likes of Vance Joy and Picture This and then mixed and mastered by Jordan Timms of Numen Studios who has worked with Dua Lipa, Dermot Kennedy and YMAS.
Speaking about the single, Ben says,
“‘Kissing Her, Missing You’ is about a phase in my life where I’d just moved to another country to pursue music and had to break up with my first girlfriend, as we couldn’t handle the long-distance. I started dating around and using dating apps but all of the attempts left me feeling empty, as I just wanted one specific person, no matter how beautiful, smart or funny anyone else was. It’s about attempting to get under someone to get over someone else and completely failing”.
At the age of just 24, Ben Dolic has performed with Zara Larsson, Rita Ora and Olly Murs, with his releases amassing over ten million streams worldwide and his music videos have gained over two million views to date. Ben has performed to massive audiences and is a self-taught pianist and guitarist who is involved heavily in all creative aspects of each release, including song writing, artwork, web design and video production.
