bloody white has released the official video for his undeniably catchy track 'tongue tied'.
'tongue tied' is an electro track at it's core with influence from lo-fi and indie pop. bloody whites' vocal is sensitive, rich and his range is fantastic. The track is mellow and chilled, yet punchy and filled with layered production and a groovy beat.
The official video for the track is fully self-directed and edited. A series of VHS home videos accompany each single on his debut EP release entitled 'you'd walk right over me'. Everything about bloody white is DIY, including the EP which he wrote, produced, performed, mixed and mastered on his own.
bloody white says,
“It was really important to me that my first videos feel real and represent the small town I’m from near Santa Barbara. They had to be true to what I grew up around and look nostalgic, too, and the most honest way I could do that was by recording with my old VHS camera I got when I was 7. My friends and I shot a lot of footage together for more than a year. Small town California is the backdrop for all the videos. I’m calling them VHS home videos because that’s what they are,”
The 20 year old artist is part of the new wave of artists emerging with exciting, refreshing and modern sounds. He is totally self taught, mastering his craft from the age of 11.
