Birmingham's indie-pop band DAME have returned with their new single 'Bite'.
'Bite' arrives just in time for the summer months, a catchy and uplifting technicolour pop track with luscious instrumentation. Their trademark alt-pop sound is inviting and feel-good with Shannon's warm vocal at the forefront of glitzy and playful production. In contrast to their introspective 'Cold Water', this new release is the ultimate anti-love song that makes you want to turn the lights down and the volume up.
Shannon says on the track,
“It’s all about taking control and getting what you want, setting your standards high and putting yourself first, forgetting your emotions and embracing the moment... it’s a big tease”.
DAME was formed at the University of Birmingham when Shannon Farmer was signed to New Street Records. She found George crying outside of the Med School, Jake getting kicked out of an open mic, and Matt on Tinder - and DAME was born. The band have since toured the UK and established themselves as a strong live act, building firm fan bases in Birmingham, London and everywhere in between. They've been compared to the likes of MUNA, Sigrid and Pale Waves.
