Italian Producer KØLE has teamed up with Da French for upbeat summer single 'Love Me Now'.
We thought now would be a great time to speak to the talented producer as part of our Get To Know series...
Hey! Welcome to The Lowdown! How are you doing?
"Hi guys! thanks for the interview, I’m fine thank you! After the quarantine finally I’m working on new music!"
Introduce yourself and tell us a bit about you!
"My name is Giuseppe Colonna (KØLE) I’m a producer and sound engineer from Turin, Italy.
I’m 27 years old and I make music everyday. It’s my life!"
When did you start your music career?
"I started making music in 2009. I’ve worked in the edm scene for many years and I was a ghost producer too. In 2016 I quit my project and started KØLE. With my new project I started to produce artist all over the world and release my solo tracks in collaboration with artists. I have also opened my studio in Turin for recordings and Mix & Mastering services."
What would be your dream venue to play?
"My dream is Ultra Music Miami. I really like the vibe of Miami and I think it would be the best place to play my music!"
Have you had a stand out moment in your career so far?
"Yes in 2018, When I released 'Sexy & Nice' - a Dancehall/Pop song with my friend Shine Heart Jr. The reaction was amazing and we didn’t even promote the song. I was pitched in Dancehall Official Spotify playlist! This song is still played on radios here in Europe and it has been 2 years that has been released now! I’m so grateful for the support received on this song!"
You’ve just released your new track ‘Love Me Now’. Tell us a bit about it!
"For this song, I teamed up with my friend French beatmaker/producer Da French (Rémi Piva)
The track was produced during quarantine for the situation of Covid-19 here in Italy. 'Love Me Now' has a great atmosphere for the weekend, with summer vibes and feel-good atmosphere who makes it perfect for a fun day on the beach."
Are there any artists who’ve had an influence on your sound?
"Yes one of my favourite artists is Skrillex. It’s a genius in my opinion. Other artists that influence me are Diplo and Major Lazer. I like to put the tropical vibes in my productions."
For anyone who hasn’t listened to the track yet, how would you sum it up in a sentence?
"Chilling summer vibes, for sure."
And finally, what are your plans for the future?
"My plans for the future are to continue producing artist, I really enjoy working with a team and follow the projects. I will continue my solo career by releasing music and reaching as many people as possible to spread the love and good vibes with my music!"
