Raised in the suburbs of Georgia, haer was always determined to escape the cul-de-sac. Now based in Brooklyn, haer has released her emotional single entitled 'The B Word'.
'The B Word' is a bold and captivating yet mellow track which lyrically, deeply reflects on the trauma she experienced of her mom passing away when she was just 10 years old. The production is atmospheric and features electronic elements, with hints of contemporary R&B, with a funky beat and sweet, euphonious vocal.
She says on the track,
"I was left confused and puzzled about who I had to be and who I was becoming. Even when I tried to piece memories of her to learn more about myself, the constant repression of the event made it difficult to remember who she actually was. 'The B Word' is the word, bye and how I was never able to say it and how I still feel like, at times, I cannot come to terms with what happened."
Since moving to Brooklyn, her continues to grow her sound, fusing progressive production with her not-so-residential flow into her own genre: suburban pop. With nearly 400,000 streams on Spotify, her is steadily becoming an emerging force in her vision of pop boasting an upward trajectory.
