Little Mix have released their infectiously catchy new and upbeat single, titled ‘Break Up Song,’ which is the first release from their upcoming sixth studio album, which has already hit the Number One spot on iTunes Charts across the world.
Prior to the release of the single, Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie unveiled a fifteen-second preview of the track onto their Instagram account, confirming the title of the track and the release date, causing anticipation to build for the track.
Over the years, Little Mix have never hidden away from releasing happy heartbreak songs, including the release of singles such as ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ and ‘No More Sad Songs,’ but ‘Break Up Song’ is definitely one of our favourite Little Mix tracks!
The feel-good single has an eighties-inspired sound to it, which was first showcased in their ‘Get Weird’ album from 2015, with tracks that had a vaguely similar sound, including ‘Love Me Like You’ and ‘A.D.I.D.A.S.’ ‘Break Up Song’ will no doubt have you wanting to turn it up and sing as loud as you can and dance along!

Impressively, one of the band’s fans – a Mixer – made a very creative lyric video for the single. You can watch the lyric video for ‘Break Up Song’ below.
The new single follows on from an immensely successful ‘LM5’ era for the band, which saw them collaborating with Nicki Minaj on single ‘Woman Like Me’, winning a BRIT Award for British Artist Video Of The Year, stellar performances and an arena tour around Europe, the UK and Ireland – to name only a few of their achievements.
‘Break Up Song’ is only the beginning of the band’s new era, and we can’t wait to see what else this era has in store for Little Mix!
