Rising North East based artist Luke Royalty has returned with his sun-drenched new single 'Stay Gold' via Soul Kitchen Recordings.

The soundtrack for summer nights, long road trips with the windows down and chilled nights in the park, 'Stay Gold' strikes gold as the perfect arrival for the upcoming months. Breezy and playful with groove-infused instrumentation consisting of a funk-fuelled bass line, soft electronic beats and glistening synths sets the backdrop for Luke's captivating and edgy vocals to shine.
'Stay Gold' follows the release of the raw and honest BBC Introducing Track Of The Week, ‘I
Do’, and was produced alongside Neverbloom and long-time collaborator Bob Mackenzie at
Motor Museum studios in Liverpool.
Luke says of the track,
“It’s a summer song about making the most of the good times while they last.”
Hailing from Darlington, Luke came from a creative family of artists and musicians. He, however, avoided dabbling in music until his late teens, preferring to spend his time playing Sunday League football and following his beloved Darlington FC. Upon finding influence in the likes of Mike Skinner, Mac Miller and Frank Ocean, Luke got drawn into the culture of turning his words to music and the rest is history in the making.
Having already had support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing as well as the likes of The Independent and Amazing Radio, Luke is set to continue on his upward trajectory in 2021.
‘Stay Gold’ is out now.
