Luke Royalty has teamed up with Manchester based SWEETS for new single 'I Could Get Used To This' released via Soul Kitchen Recordings.
The first of many collaborations between Royalty and SWEETS, the soulful alternative R&B track oozes a groovy bassline, slick drum beats and dreamy electric guitar. Lyrically conceptual, 'I Could Get Used To This' is a strong collaboration, with smooth, powerful vocals paired with clean rap skills, catchy, melodic hooks and slick production. The track draws influenced from the likes of Tm Misch and Rex Orange County whilst putting their own modern stamp on the genre.
The track sees Royalty and Sweets deliver an optimistic take on new beginnings, after both moving away from their hometowns in the North East of England.
Speaking on this, Luke states,
“The positive outlook in the song is a reflection of just how happy we were to be making music together in the studio”.
Previous single 'October Seven' has been well reviewed with multiple plays across Radio, BBC Introducing Merseyside and BBC Radio Tees.
'I Could Get Used To This' is out now.
