NICKY LIPP RELEASES DEBUT EP 'FIRSTS'

NEWS

‘FIRSTS’ is the debut EP from Scotland’s rising star Nicky Lipp, one of the UK’s most exciting new talents.

Nicky Lipp’s singles to date all feature on the EP, ‘Hallelujah Kid’, One of These Days’ and ‘Fish Out of Water’, as well as his latest hit single in waiting, ‘Take Care’ which encapsulates this bittersweetness of a fleeting summertime. It is a perfect example of his singular sound, characterised by driving guitars, soaring melodies and uncompromising authentic lyrics.

Nicky describes the irresistible track as,

“summer in a nutshell, with all the euphoric goodness of life bubbling at the surface.”

Hailing from Leith in Edinburgh, Nicky Lipp has amassed a burgeoning following throughout this year, with loyal fans filling venues across Scotland and beyond. Since releasing his debut single last year, support has flooded in from Spotify, Apple and BBC Introducing to name a few and 2 of the singles to be taken from ‘FIRSTS’ have been featured as Single of the Week on BBC Scotland.

Nicky Lipp’s life has been as idiosyncratic as his music. Evolving from life as a teenage dreamer in a small Scottish town to become the frontman of a major label signed band, he was later an inspirational pastor in a Global church before returning home to Scotland and his roots.

‘FIRSTS’ draws on the huge well of emotion and experience in the artist’s life, resulting in an inimitable strain of future-fixated evolutionary pop-music.
