NYIKO recently shared their shining track 'Glow', released via Trailing Twelve Records.
'Glow' is an easy listening indie pop track with a chilled vocal and is lyrically great. Both rhythmic and refined, 'Glow' makes for an awesome track with glittering synth and a dreamy and magical sound, whilst being a buoyant exercise in self-confidence and inner-beauty.
Previous releases by NYIKO explore the melancholy and tribulations of romance, yet this track aims a focus at the gleeful enthusiasm of courtship and according to the artist, 'Glow' was influences by a party they attended after moving to LA. NYIKO then channeled their propensity for dance and to help build the narrative around the rest of the song.
“I remember walking inside and just being stunned by the number of modelesque people in attendance. It felt like the set for a fashion ad. Later I was recounting the night and that’s when the first line of the song came to me [I walked into this room and fell in love a hundred times}. I’m certainly one to dance at a party in an effort to entertain, so I wanted to focus on that".
