LA-based indie pop extraordinaire NYIKO has released 'Make You Feel' taken from his upcoming full-length debut album 'Honestly', out April 9th via Trailing Twelve Records.
Acting as the final pane in the mosaic of singles released ahead of the album, 'Make You Feel' is BIG. With sweeping synths, stadium sized drums and driving guitars, NYIKO's signature croon immediately engages the listener. Centred around a wide-eyed desire to seize the day and experience passionate romance, the track balances a feeling of intimacy with larger than life catharsis. Tactfully casting shadows of 80's new wave with a field of contemporary production techniques, NYIKO secures a place in the new guard of the genre’s reimagining.
NYIKO shares,
"I wrote “Make You Feel” during a spell of nostalgia. I was thinking back on crushes I had when I was younger and that intense feeling you get with young love - like the whole world revolves around that one person. I wanted the song to have a sense of urgency - like a soundtrack to the experience of telling someone you love them for the first time."
Over the past decade, the singer, songwriter, producer, label owner and visual artist has released synth-pop, new wave and hip-hop projects with the likes of Disney, Song/ATV, Heart Well and more.
'Make You Feel' is out now.
