Rising new teen indie/alt five-piece Full Colour have unveiled their debut single ‘Times Change’ via Good Soldier.
The release follows their UK support tour in March of this year with one of The Lowdown's favourites Love Fame Tragedy, the solo project from The Wombats’ frontman Murph.
Produced by Larry Hibbit (Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma), mastered by Robin Schmidt (The 1975, Pale Waves) and mixed by Tom Longworth (Vistas), ‘Times Change’ showcases the young band’s instinctive ear for melody, underlined by frontman Conrad Berriff’s soaring vocals.
Inspired by some of the biggest British bands of our time such as FOALS and The 1975, Full Colour wear their heart on their sleeve in ‘Times Change’. A euphoric new anthem to soundtrack teen angst across the nation, rooted in the emotions attached to leaving the past behind and looking to bright new futures.
Speaking about the track, Conrad explains:
"This song is basically all about moving away from home and wondering whether certain people will miss you and how you’ll cope without them. It was recorded in London which is quite fitting considering lyrically it’s set there. The song took on quite a few forms before we eventually found the right one that stuck."
The track is accompanied by a new music video showing Full Colour performing ‘Times Change’ with the same fervour and intensity they bring to their thrilling live shows.
The five-piece, based between Huddersfield and Halifax, whose members range from between 16-18 years old, formed last year and have already toured with Vistas, Bloxx, Larkins, Love Fame Tragedy, and chosen to perform at The Great Escape’s First 50 show in December. Their first track ‘Miles Apart’, released last year, was added to Spotify’s Best of The Indie List 2019 and received support from Jack Saunders and Huw Stephens at Radio 1 plus Radio X and BBC Introducing.
With more music set for release over the coming months, and live shows planned for later this year, including Larkins, Night Café, Bloxx and Vistas, 2020 is set to be a milestone for this bright new band as they build on their already fervent fanbase and spread their wings even wider!
