Sarpa Salpa are back with a brand-new single ‘Dreaming’.
‘Dreaming’ follows their 2 recent singles ‘Your House’ & ‘Somebody’ which saw huge radio support from Jack Saunders and Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1 well as from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Radio X and the Student Radio Association Network.
Vocalist Marcus Marooth says,
‘’'Dreaming' is about the stark emotional difference I feel from when we are stood on stage performing, to difficult times in our personal lives and struggling to make ends meet. The immense highs of touring and playing live vs the Monday morning post-gig lows. Later in the track it references our reliance on each other as friends as well as our partners and families whose indispensable support keeps us going”.
Formed in the heart of England in the town of Northampton, Sarpa Salpa have evolved both physically and musically to achieve their current form. Marcus, George, Meg and Charlie are four friends whose individual tastes and talents came together perfectly to become Sarpa Salpa. With influences spanning the breadth of the indie, pop and rock spectrum, Sarpa Salpa create a sound that is uniquely their own and has won them a loyal fan base across the UK and beyond.
Fresh off the back of their first USA dates, playing 8 shows in 5 days at the coveted SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas where they won over a whole host of new supporters in the industry including a mention in Billboard Magazine praising the bands fresh “indie disco” sound.
Now back in the UK, Sarpa Salpa hit the ground running with a sold-out show in their hometown of Northampton before a run of dates over the summer including The Great Escape, 110 Above Festival and fast selling headline shows in London, Manchester, and Bristol.
