22-year old Londoner Seeva has released the lead single 'Young' from his debut album 'We Need To Talk' after his ‘Chapter I’ EP which showcased four songs from the record.
'Young' turns the concept of bedroom-pop on its head, set to a bold electro-pop summer beat that would be at home at festivals and clubs alike. The track speaks about empowerment after a break-up and finding independence and youth through freedom.
The track leads an album written and produced from Seeva's bedroom, taking inspiration from the likes of Years & Years and Troye Sivan. 'We Need To Talk' is a concept album written in a conversational diary-style, expressing the discussions and ramblings of Seeva through relationships, heartbreak and self-discovery. As a growing voice in the queer South Asian community, Seeva is using his debut album to be open and honest about identities and navigating the world.
Seeva is an electro-pop, R&B artist based in London and Brighton. He began songwriting at the age of 13 and by the age of 15 he was playing live with continued support from established British producers behind the likes of Dua Lipa, George Ezra and Mabel.
Seeva has transitioned into an artist in his own right by releasing his debut single in February 2019 to critical acclaim, receiving support from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 and Spotify's 'New Music Friday UK’ playlist, only continuing the undeniable hype surrounding his 2020 debut project, to be released on September 4th 2020.
