Sianon shares her debut EP 'Now That It's Over', the track listing which reads like a sentence, represents the stages of the break up. From the moment the relationship unexpectedly ends, straight through to finally moving on and realising it was for the best.
On new single '(I'm) Better Now', the completing track of the EP, Sianon says,
"I actually wrote 'Better Now' as a song for me to be able to listen to to help me through the break up. I wanted it to remind me of how bad the relationship had gotten, how alone I was and the lack of comfort and affection I was shown; something I ended up settling for as I would rather ‘cry myself to sleep, with your back to me’ than leave and in my eyes give up on the relationship. I started living life for me and working on myself, doing the things I loved, lost weight and finally got back to my happy, confident self. I spent a lot of time in London in this period and found it really helped me heal. It was a brand new place and I was able to make brand new memories ‘I’m where I need to be when I’m twice as loud, laughing with my friends on the underground’ , I realised that this was the part of me that shone the brightest and in retrospect I was so much better off without that person."
Sianon, is of Irish descent and was raised in Dudley. She is a staunch advocate of the power of great pop music. After teaching herself to play piano and guitar aged 13, Sianon started composing her own songs, performing at open-mic nights and busking on the streets of Dudley which she continued to do in her newly adopted home, Brighton. She has built up a reputation as an engaging live performer, supporting the likes of Gabrielle Aplin and appearing at festivals including Isle Of Wight. She then went on to win Best Folk Song in the International Songwriting Competition, her song Keep Dancing singled out from 19,000 entries and in 2019, aged 21, she turned her attention to pop.
