Scottish pop duo The Eves have released their empowering new single entitled 'Brand New Day'.
The track is infectious and radiates a feel-good and catchy sound, whilst lyrically conveying assurance and positivity. The dreamy pop instrumentation effortlessly combines a groovy melody with shimmering synths, a tap along drum beat and captivating electric guitar to create a lush soundscape and an overall warm and wholesome sound.
Self-penned during the first lockdown of 2020 and written as a celebration of breaking free, 'Brand New Day' was inspired by a friend who found the inner strength to walk away from a toxic relationship along with the universal theme of finding the courage to break away and finding the brand new day of promise ahead. 'Brand New Day' truly showcases the talent behind the pair, not only as musicians, but writers and producers, further justifying the hype that has surrounded them since their debut in 2018.
The Eves is comprised of Marissa Keltie and Caroline Gilmour, who have been marked as ones to watch since joining forces three years ago. The pair, who were previously recognised as solo performers in their own right, have gone on to become one of the UK's most promising female groups. They cite influence from mainstream contemporary pop artists such as Dua Lipa, Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus.
