Essex-based alternative artist tmdistant is back with his latest offering 'west end wedding' - a track which effortlessly combines indie and pop to create an infectious sound that will keep listeners coming back for more, as well as connect with the lyrics.
Built over a stunning production by Song Higginson, the 20 year-old artist reminisces about a past relationship, and wonders what could have happened had the relationship played out differently. Now he has to watch this person he once loved be in a relationship with someone that mistreats them.
“This is my depiction of waiting for someone and they don't see you how you see them, it's the romanticisation of wanting someone that doesn't want you. Some, if not all of us can agree that there has been a time in our lives when we've chased someone and they go to anyone and everything else other than you. On top of that you watch them be mistreated while you sit back and think to yourself that you would’ve been the better person for them.”
Known for combining multiple genres such as indie, pop and alternative with elements of hyperpop, electronic and rock, 20 year-old Essex, UK based artist tmdistant has garnered praise from many outlets and influential tastemakers.
He has also gained editorial support on the following Spotify playlists Our Generation, New Music Friday UK, The Other List, Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Pop, tear drop, misfits 2.0, Alt. Pop. and Shockwave, and his single 'i don’t need a therapist' spent 9 months in the Apple Music playlist Glitch. tmdistant has also gained support on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock Music with Alyx Holcombe, Introducing On Radio 1 with Gemma Bradley, BBC Music Introducing Essex and more.
